A Review of the Tour of Overbrook
Last Tuesday, I visited Overbrook School
for the Blind. I was able to visit the classroom of the ninth graders. While
I was there I saw a friend of mine and was able to “see” a few other people
that I know. Having these connections I
believe will strongly impact my future there. Mr. Lee, the teacher,
was very nice, and in my opinion a very effective teacher. I preceded to
visit the library, field house, the aquatic center and the track. I love
the technology that Overbrook has integrated in to their system. For
example, the aquatic center as technology that allows a blind person to know
where the lanes of the pool are so that they are able to participate in swim
meets. I was able to see many different programs at the school while I
was there, and I believe that all of the programs are fun, and
challenging. All in all, I think that the school is very innovative and
and interesting.
